Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive look at the Java 2 Enterprise Edition API. Among the important enterprise technologies examined in detail are Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs). In addition, Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSPs), Java Messaging Service (JMS), Java Transaction API (JTA) and Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) will be covered. Students develop projects incoporating both bean-managed and container-managed entity beans, stateful and stateless session beans, message-driven beans, and much more. This course is taught on either Weblogic 5.1 or Weblogic 6.0 using Oracle. This is an advanced course; students should be familiar with internet technologies and intermediate-level Java programming.
