UNIX Systems Programming

Course Description
This course provides the C programming interface and library routines as well as a detailed system-level description of I/O, memory management, process control, interprocess communications, signals and signal handling, and symbolic debugging. Lab exercises integrate these topics to demonstrate the features of the UNIX operating system and prepare students for UNIX system development.

Audience
This course is designed for experienced C programmers interested in expanding their skill and knowledge of the UNIX environment. Class size is limited unless by special arrangement.

Prerequisites
UNIX Fundamentals or equivalent experience, and
C Programming or equivalent experience
